Position: Volunteer Coordinator
Location: 14200 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, Dolton, IL
Reports to: Program Director
Commitment: Part-time, Volunteer
Role Summary:
The Volunteer Coordinator will manage the recruitment, training, and support of volunteers. This role is essential in ensuring the organization has a robust and motivated volunteer workforce to support its various programs and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Recruit, interview, and place volunteers in appropriate roles.
•Develop and implement volunteer training programs.
•Maintain volunteer records and track volunteer hours.
•Organize volunteer appreciation events and recognition programs.
•Provide ongoing support and communication with volunteers.
•Coordinate volunteer schedules and ensure adequate staffing for events and projects.
•Resolve volunteer issues and provide mediation as needed.
Qualifications:
•Excellent organizational and communication skills.
•Previous experience in volunteer coordination or management is preferred.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate others.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Passion for volunteerism and community service.
