Position: Development Coordinator
Location: 14200 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, Dolton, IL
Reports to: Executive Director
Commitment: Part-time, Volunteer
Role Summary:
The Development Coordinator will support fundraising and development efforts to ensure the organization meets its financial goals. This role involves researching funding opportunities, assisting with grant writing, and supporting donor engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, donations, and sponsorships.
•Assist in writing grant proposals and preparing funding applications.
•Maintain donor records and manage the donor database.
•Assist in planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns.
•Develop and distribute donor communications, including newsletters and thank-you letters.
•Support donor engagement and recognition efforts.
•Track and report on fundraising progress and outcomes.
Qualifications:
•Previous experience in fundraising or development is preferred.
•Excellent writing and research skills.
•Strong organizational and time management abilities.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
•Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
•Passion for nonprofit work and community engagement.
