Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

Comcast Cares Day 2018

Comcast Volunteers

On Comcast Cares Day, April 21, more than 5,500 Comcast NBCUniversal employees, their families, friends and community partners participated in 70 volunteer projects across Illinois.

  • This year, one of the largest projects in the region took place at Cradles to Crayons in Chicago. Hundreds of volunteers came together to assemble 7,500 hygiene packs and other essential supplies for disadvantaged children in neighborhoods across the city.
  • In addition to providing volunteers, the Comcast Foundation will provides grants to community partners, like Cradles to Crayons, which host projects. The grants are designed to help recipient organizations continue their missions throughout the year

The packages they put together will make an enormous difference in the lives of the children who receive them.”

This year marks the 17th annual Comcast Cares Day, and volunteers celebrated a significant milestone – reaching 1 million volunteers nationally since the program began in 2001. In 2018, more than 115,000 volunteers participated in more than 1,200 projects worldwide. To date, Comcast Cares Day volunteers have contributed more than 5 million volunteer hours and completed 8,800 projects.
