Angels on Assignment GHTA Recognition Project

On October 4, 2023, Serve Illinois visited the City of Mt. Vernon to recognize the City of Mt. Vernon and Angels on Assignment volunteers as part of the Governor’s Hometown Awards certificate recognition project. Angels on Assignment is an all-volunteer organization that began in 1991, with a vision to help those who are struggling in tough economic times by providing assistance for basic family needs-including rent, food, and utilities for Mt. Vernon and Jefferson County residents
