Earth Day 2023

On Saturday, April 22, 2023, Volunteer Programs Coordinator Cecilia Maciel Martinez attended an Earth Day Edition "Trash Talk" park cleanup and beautification at Douglass Park in the North Lawndale community in Chicago. Unete La Villita, a community group of long-term volunteers, hosted the event. These individuals cleaned up and organized in cold, sleeting, and hailing weather! Thirty-five individuals were recognized for their outstanding volunteerism and commitment to improving their community (pictured above).
