911 Day of Service Chicago Meal Pack!

On Saturday, September 11th, 2021, Serve Illinois participated in the Chicago Meal Pack for 911 Day for the 20th anniversary hosted by 911 Day at Navy Pier in Chicago. With the help of over 200 volunteers, the goal was to pack 200.000 meals within 10 hours to address the growing food crisis. All the meals were donated to and distributed by the Greater Chicago Food Depository to individuals and food-insecure families.

Through our efforts, we packed a total of 188,080 meals which is 94% of our goal!
