Anne Schumann
Anne Schumann was born in Chicago. She graduated from Roosevelt University in 1968 with a BS in math and a minor in physics.
She began her career in IT as a programmer and then a systems analyst. She is currently the Director of Volunteer Services for CJE SeniorLife and has been in volunteer management since 1994, whose mission is to facilitate independence of older adults and to enhance quality of life by advocating on their behalf and by offering programs and services throughout the continuum of care for individuals, families and the community. Since joining CJE SeniorLife, she has increased the number of volunteers from 230 to over 900 who come on a regular basis and another 4,000 who come on an episodic basis. Their volunteers range from newborns to centenarians.
She has volunteered her entire life starting with helping her mother do volunteer work as a child. She is a past officer of Association of Volunteer Administrators of Metropolitan Chicago. She has co-chaired two Illinois Conference on Volunteer Administration (ICOVA) conventions in the Chicago area. She also volunteers for ORT America, where she was a regional president.
Anne lives in Morton Grove with her husband Robert and is the proud mother of two children [David Simon (his wife Sendy) and Rebecca Simon] and two grandchildren (Avery and Luke Simon).
