The Illinois Volunteer Management Network is not governed by strict county-line borders or zip codes, but rather by the pre-existing professional, social, and commuting networks already in place in your communities. The Serve Illinois Commission acts as a convener for regular business meetings, as well as collaborative networking and training opportunities in your region. We invite you to bring along a volunteer leader in your organization or community and visit one of the upcoming events in your region.
The East Central Illinois region hosts meetings and events the hub communities of the region, including Bloomington, Champaign, Decatur and Charleston. The region extends from Springfield, the current state capital, to Danville, and from roughly Pontiac to Effingham.
